"Holiday Fantasy"

Santa and two Raggedy Ann dolls are just three of the many holiday figures in this elegant table top creation. Ted won a blue ribbon at the San Juan County Fair for this spectacular holiday arrangement. About the artist: Ted Soares has been involved with the San Juan Community Theatre since arriving here in Friday Harbor 16 years ago. Retired from television, he wanted to keep active. Ted and his partner, Stanley Kramer, produced and directed very successful shows here - "Bye Bye Bijou," "Flat Foot Follies," and "Hello Bijou Hello." He has been directing and producing "Festival of Trees" shows for seven years.

Created and Donated by Ted Soares. Value $1,200.

"Bartender’s Dream"

Serve your guests from this one-of-a-kind bar created by Joe Romano from spalted maple and douglas fir. Note the blue vodka bottle nestled in its special carved niche. About the artist: Joe Romano was a contractor in California and came to the San Juan Islands twelve years ago. He found a great niche using all of the skills that he had learned in construction to put together the play area he uses to build all of the things he’s always loved and wanted to build. Joe’s furniture is made from Island fir out of trees felled at construction sites. He make tables that can seat up to 16, both indoor and outdoor, as well as other custom pieces.

Created and Donated by Joe Romano. Value $2,500.

"Island Rock Walls”

This self-taught dry stack rock wall builder received great reviews at this past spring’s island garden tour. He is offering to design and build a planter or wall up to 50-feet long and up to 24-inches high and 18-inches wide. Labor only to build the walls is included; rocks need to be provided for the project. Construction would be done in the spring or summer, when the weather warms and at a time convenient for both the donor and the winner of this unique auction item.

Donated by Ralph Hahn. Value $1,200.

"Absolutely Sweet Sweet"

A pre-lit, artificial full-size tree is decorated with sweet confections created by the Popcorn Lady. Besides being artfully arranged, each handmade ornament is delicious, too. As a final touch, the pictured ornament completes this confectioner’s tree.
